Madamore Multifamily Development is Complete
Al. Neyer's design-build team joined forces with developer Ackermann Group to bring Madamore Apartments to life - recently delivering the third and final phase. This mixed-use development has quickly become an anchor to the Madisonville urban core and business district. Dobbs Ackermann, president and CEO of Ackermann Group, sat down with the Cincinnati Business Courier to talk about the vision and execution of this state-of-the-art project and its economic impact.

Madamore, a mixed-use apartment community along Whetsel Avenue and Madison Road, held its grand opening Oct. 6. Since the beginning of November, the apartments have been 100% full.
Ackermann Group developed 312 apartment units across all three of the Madamore buildings, which include 40 affordable units for those making 80% of the area median income.
The development has created energy on the street, Ackermann said, with higher levels of activity than before the opening of Madamore.
“It’s become a walkable community,” Ackermann told the Courier. “We think it’s unique in that way when redeveloping a downtown.”
Redeveloping downtown Madisonville was one of Ackermann’s main goals with Madamore. He wanted to create a development that helped the overall housing market in Madisonville, pushing the value of home growth.
Ackermann said the area has since “exploded.”
“Our job was to get this started and build a base for the community,” he said.
