Al. Neyer Closes on Purchase of Commerce Crossing Business Park Site
WCIDC CLOSES ON SEWICKLEY TOWNSHIP LAND SALE TO AL. NEYER AT COMMERCE CROSSING BUSINESS CENTER
From Pittsburgh Business Times:
Al. Neyer, the Cincinnati-based firm that's currently perhaps the most active developer of industrial projects in the region, has closed on buying a nearly 26-acre site in Sewickley Township on which to build the first project at the five-lot Commerce Crossing Business Center.
The Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation (WCIDC) announced that it has closed on the sale of the property to Al. Neyer, finalizing a sale originally agreed to by the WCIDC's board in February 2019.
The property sold for more than $1.5 million, kicking off a development that will include a new business park for WCIDC.
Al. Neyer is expected to start building the new project this month and plans to complete a new 250,000-square-foot distribution center in the second quarter of next year.
Al. Neyer, also pursuing a major business park near the Pittsburgh International Airport in Findlay Township as well as in Butler County, also has an option to buy an adjacent 28-acre lot at Commerce Crossing.
The first project at Commerce Crossing will overlap with another Al. Neyer is currently building, a 150,000-square-foot facility in Hempfield Township on a more than 13-acre parcel WCIDC sold to the company at its Technology II park.
