Al. Neyer Proposes Large Distribution Center in Jackson Twp., PA

Cincinnati-based Al. Neyer is ready to pursue a new 220,0000-square-foot distribution center in Jackson Township, Butler County.

The company is scheduled to present a plan for the development, proposed for a site next to the Evans City exit of Interstate 79, before the Jackson Township planning department on Wednesday evening.

Mark Vella, vice president of business development for Al. Neyer, said the location for the new project is next to the new FedEx distribution center.

The company is developing the project speculatively, expecting demand will come given a general lack of product in the North Hills, as well as limited sites on which to build new ones.

“We’re literally at the exit,” Vella said. “That’s why I think it will do real well. Everybody looks at that last mile and how do I get on the interstate.”
