Hillwood, a Ross Perot Jr. company, and downtown Cincinnati-based Al Neyer, are partnering again in Greater Cincinnati.

The two companies will construct Erlanger Commerce Center, a two-building distribution center at the former Showcase Cinemas site in Erlanger. Combined, the buildings will provide 1.7 million square feet of state-of-the-art distribution space at the intersection of Interstates 75 and 275.

Kurt Nelson, senior vice president and market leader with Hillwood, said the company has seen “substantial growth” in the region.

“The industrial activity in this area is driven by a strong transportation infrastructure and healthy workforce,” Nelson said in a news release. “That makes it an attractive location for major manufacturing and logistics companies.”

Dan Ruh, executive vice president and Cincinnati market leader for Al Neyer, said the former movie theater site, which closed in 2008, offered a lot of developable land at an “outstanding” location.

“This position offers tremendous access to the region’s most-traveled interstates, and the regional airport, which will be home to Amazon’s centralized air hub,” Ruh said in a release.
